Sacraments & Special Ceremonies

Holy Communion

On the first Sunday of each month, we share in the sacrament of Holy Communion. All are welcome to Christ’s table.

At the Last Supper, Jesus shared bread and wine with his disciples during the Passover meal. He told them, “do this in remembrance of me”. We partake in bread and juice together, which represent the body and blood of Christ and symbolize the grace of God. Because we believe in prevenient grace, people of all ages and faith journeys are invited to share in this sacrament with us.

Baptism

“I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the holy spirit".” -Mark 1:8

Baptism is an ancient practice performed with water, which welcomes the individual being baptized as a member of the church. In the Methodist Church, we baptize at any age-including infant baptism, in which we commit to loving and supporting children as they grow up in the church. If you are interested in being baptized or having your child baptized, please contact the church office.

Confirmation

When baptized as an infant or child, confirmation is the opportunity to confirm your faith and the vows made at your baptism.

Baptism is a holy sacrament which lasts for your entire life. Confirmation is the opportunity to affirm your intention to live by the vows made in your baptism and to become a professing member of the United Methodist Church. Confirmation classes take place biennially for 13 weeks, for any one 11 years or older. Please contact the church office or complete this form to learn more if you are interested in joining the church through confirmation.
